I began in the mid sixties flying Control Line models, Baby Ringmaster, Jr. Ringmaster, Nobler, Sig Banshee and Super Chipmunk. In the mid seventies I started flying RC planes and racing electric RC cars, off road and carpet. About 2005 I decided to try Helicopters and purchased a Thunder Tiger Rapter 60 3D model With traing gear added I attempted to learn to hover but never got the hang of it. It has been sitting collecting dust. When the Blade CX came out I decided to give it a try and had more success with it.. I have'nt done any flying for the past three years but recently fired up the Blade CX again and along with the Real Flight Simulator gained a better feal for flying helicopters. I eventually plan on restoring the Raptor but wanted flying time with a miniture electric collective pitch model. I did research on the Blade CP2 and the Blade SR. Going to my LHS he recommended the Blade SR stating it was a better choice for training since I eventually want to fly my Raptor. I'll detail my experence with the Blade SR in the forum.
As a side note my radio system of choice is HiTec. I have two giant scale planes waiting to be build, a Great Planes Giant Aeromaster and a Lainer 1/3 scale Giles 202. I am disapointed that over the years model plane kits have been replaced by ARFs.
